Everything Fits by Kim Valzania

August 26, 2015 By Kim

buddhaa

Everything fits

when you honestly live

and with authenticity, you give and give

everything –

it fits

so easy it fits!

without resistance

to make it so

to make it fit

you don’t have to

because

when you do what you say

(what you say you’re going to do)

everything

just

fits.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everything fits
when your truth is told
and your story, your glory begins to unfold
it’s told, that truth
by you, only you,
to yourself
but
to him too
and
to them
they all need to know
because you –
you are an open book now
and your pages read and ring clear now
and every last little thing now
it fits!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

As everything

simply but extraordinarily fits

the progress, the sweet progress is easy

as simple as the sun shining down on your face

Your cup is clean outside, yes

but

it’s cleaner on the inside

because you kicked those disabling lies behind

and indeed you grew a genuine, unbreakable spine

and now you’re uncomplicated – a strong spirit divine!

You’ve blossomed, my girl

through the work – such work!

to be direct

with yourself

through thought, and activity

through emotions, and your brave, honest words

you finally fought your way to the top, undeterred

busting through the obstacles incurred

so many along the way

so that everything fits now –

all of it, all of it

fits.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And it fits,
everything does
because you do
you fit
you are fit
you are the real deal
in love, and in life
with every effortless breath you take
your heart beats
alongside your dreams
drunk on delicious truth
and bursting at the seams –
Oh the weight is gone
they see it’s not there
But what they really see
is the very absence of despair
shoulders once heavy
Are lighter than light
Because the weight
that endless, cluttered, hopeless plight
is gone
it’s just gone
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

And everything fits

every damn thing fits now

because you made it so.

About Kim

I am a poet, a writer, an over-the-top mischief maker, a trash talker, and an old school dirty bird. I will never (ever) say no to a properly aerated glass of Malbec on a Friday night. I use words like “feminist” and “sartorial” and “no” and actively flirt with a decline in readership whenever I put them all into one, cohesive sentence. I like mountain biking, trails, succulents, books, inspirational quotes and vivid dreams. I strive to live with a grateful, open heart. What I know to be true is that there is always time for personal reflection and change. It's never too late to grow new wings and learn to fly again. Namaste!

My essays and poetry can also be found at Rebelle Society, The Elephant Journal, The Manifest-Station, The Minds Journal, The Imperfect Parent, Scary Mommy, BonBon Break, Litchfield Magazine, The Block Island Times, and Today's Mama.
